California Governor Gavin Newsom declared that the state will stop doing business with Walgreens after the drugstore chain said it will not distribute mifepristone, a drug that is part of the most common method of abortion in the country, in some states where abortion remains legal.
“California won’t be doing business with @walgreens — or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women’s lives at risk,” Newsom declared in a Monday afternoon tweet. “We’re done.”
